sop for operation & cleaning of tablet deduster

1.0 Objective: To describe the procedure for operation and cleaning of tablet deduster.
2.0 Scope: This procedure is applicable to tablet
3.0 Responsibility: Operator / Production Officer / Executive.
4.0 Accountability: Department Head shall be accountable for the compliance of the system.
5.0 Procedure:

5.1 Operation:
5.1.1 Check the cleanliness of the machine.
5.1.2 Put a container with polybag at the discharge point of the deduster.
5.1.3 Switch “ON” the main power supply of the de-duster and then of the compression machine.
5.1.4 Continue the de-dusting operation till the compression machine is ‘ON’.
5.1.5 After completion of the compression process, switch “OFF” the main power supply of de-duster and ensure that there are no tablets inside it.




5.1.6 Affix “To be Cleaned” status label.
5.1.7 Record the activity in logbook.
5.2 Cleaning:[For Batch Change]
5.2.1 Switch “OFF” the main power supply.
5.2.2 Open the perforated plate by uncovering the top cover.
5.2.3 Clean the perforated plate, hopper bowl and the external surface of the de-duster to the maximum possible extent, using the designated vacuum cleaner.
5.3 Cleaning:[For Product Change]
5.3.1 Switch “OFF” the main power supply.
5.3.2 Open the perforated plate by uncovering the top cover.
5.3.3 Put all the parts like perforated plate, top cover and chute in to the polybag and affix “TO BE CLEANED” label on it.
5.3.4 Transfer it to the washing area.
5.3.5 Clean the perforated plate, hopper bowl and the chute with the Hot water with nylon brush. Then wash with potable water till there is no residue Previous Product
5.3.6 Dry it with lint free cloth. Affix “CLEANED” label on it.
5.3.7 Clean the outer surface of the de duster with clean dry lint free cloth.
5.3.8 Record the same in logbook.




5.4 Assembling:
5.4.1 Fix the bowl in the ring of the De-duster and place the perforated sieve path on the bowl.
5.4.2 Fix the top cover on the bowl and clamp it.
5.4.3 Connect one end of the suction with the fine discharging nozzle in the de-duster, and the other end of the suction pipe with the cubicle dust extraction system. The system should be in operation.
5.4.4 Place a suitable container for tablet collection below the Deduster.
5.4.5 Affix the “Cleaned” label.
