wipe the adhesive side of the facing paper thoroughly by placing the top of the facing paper and wipe off the adhesive surface with a tissue paper.

Wipe the edges on the top side of the facing lightly with some cotton soaked in ethyl acetate to remove any traces of adhesive overflowed to the topside.

Allow it to dry in air till no odor of ethyl acetate is observed and note down the weight of facing paper and weight of sample as (W2g).
