sop for operation of barcode scanner

 

1.0 OBJECTIVE:

1.1. The purpose of this SOP is:
1.1.1. To describe the procedure for operating the Bar Code scanner.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

2.1 The Chemist / Officer – Quality Control Packaging shall be:
2.1.1. Responsible for operating the bar code scanner as per the procedure.

3.0 ACCOUNTABILITY:

Executive – Quality Assurance

4.0 PROCEDURE:

4.1 Open the “BARSCAN.EXE” file through the Package Foxpro in the computer system.
4.2 Then the display will show “SCAN BARCODE”
4.3 Bring the scanner in front of the bar code in the material, which has to be scanned.
4.4 Push the button provided the scanner.
4.5 Immediately the display will show as given below.

4.6 It will display the barcode with the product name.
