1.0 Purpose
1.1 To describe a procedure for operation Procedure of Stop watch.

2.0 Scope
2.1 This standard operating procedure is applicable for operation Procedure of Stop watch located at

Quality Control Laboratory at ABC Pvt. Ltd., Roorkee (UK), India.

3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Officer QC/ Executive QC Preparation of SOP and follow the procedure as per SOP
Assistant Manager Reviewing and Training of SOP
Manager QC Implementation of SOP

4.0 Accountability
4.1 Manager Quality Control is accountable for implementation and compliance with SOP.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Operation
5.1.1 Ensure that Stopwatch is calibrated and certified.
5.1.2 Stopwatch is in running condition. Using Mode or Split / Reset key button.
5.1.3 After that, Press the mode button one time. Display is show 0:0000.
5.1.4 Press the Start / Stop button. Stopwatch is running condition and again Press

the Start / Stop button. Stopwatch is stop and observed the minutes and seconds from the display.
5.1.5 Press the split / Reset button is press. Display is show 0:0000 and presses the Start / Stop

button Stopwatch is running condition. And again Press the Start / Stop button. Stopwatch is stop

and observed the minutes and seconds from

the display. The split/Reset button is pressed. Display is show 0:0000.
5.1.6 After that Press the Mode button one time, Time is display.
5.1.7 Report any discrepancy observed during operation of the instrument to Manager-QC or his

authorized representative to rectify the defect. Affix ‘Under Maintenance’ label on the instrument.

5.2 Cleaning Procedure
5.2.1 Clean the Stopwatch before and after the use with tissue paper properly.

5.3 Calibration
5.3.1 Once a year from outside agency

Distribution of the controlled copy to concerned departments.
Additional copies may be issued for specific purpose.
