1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To describe a procedure for pest and rodent control treatment.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This procedure is applicable to the factory.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Executive/Officer–HR
3.2 Authorized person appointed by pest control Agency
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY
4.1 Head of HR Department shall be accountable for agreement between Pest control Agency and
the Organization, ensure compliance with this procedure.
5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 Note:
5.1.1 Pest and rodent Control activity shall be carried out by external agency having contract agreement with the organization.
5.1.2 The External agency shall be approved by IPCA (Indian Pest Control Association) or any other equivalent agency.
5.1.3 Only trained personnel from the external agency shall perform the pest and rodent control treatment as per agreement.
5.1.4 The personal shall wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during the pest and rodent control treatment.
5.1.5 No dilutions of chemicals (Pesticides) are allowed at factory premises.
5.1.6 No open baiting is allowed.
5.1.7 HR department shall ensure that pest and rodent control treatment is carried out as per predefined frequency as per agreement.
5.2 Pest and Rodent Control Treatment Frequency per annum: 24 services (Services for Pied Piper Service, House Mouse, Roof, Rat, Norway Rat, Norway Rat Bandicoot as per agreement).
5.3 Numbering system of Rodent box:
Rodent Box shall be numbered as 1, 2, 3……etc.
Where 1, 2, 3, …… represents the serial number of rodent box.
5.4 Dis-Infestation and Fly Control:
The treatment aims at controlling household pests like cockroaches, ants, silverfish, spiders and controlling of rodents.

5.5 Trubble Gum/Bait shall be kept in Rodent Bait Station by personnel of Pest and Rodent Control Service provider. Daily inspection of Rodent Bait Station shall be done by HR department and if any Rodent found, HR department shall intimate to the service provider for disposal of the same. Service Provider shall dispose the Rodent at their end.
5.6 Pest and rodent management activity shall be monitored and the records of the same shall be maintained by HR department.
6.0 TRAINING
6.1 Trainer – Head of department.
6.2 Trainee – All concern person.
6.3 Period – One hour or as per required.
7.0 DISTRIBUTION
7.1 One set of master copy & controlled copy submitted the quality assurance department.
