1.0 Objective
To lay down a procedure for cleaning of high racks.
2.0 Scope
This Standard Operating Procedure is applicable for cleaning of high racks to be followed
at formulation plants of A B C Company.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Officer/Executive warehouse shall be responsible for cleaning of high racks.
3.2 Head Warehouse is responsible for implementation of this SOP.
3.3 Head QA or his designee shall be responsible for compliance of this SOP.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Start the electric stacker and move it near the high rise racks and put a pallet on the forks of the stacker.
5.2 The Warehouse personnel shall wear the safety helmet and fasten it with the electric stacker and sitting on the pallet.
5.3 The person driving electric stacker shall move the forks of the stacker to the height of the racks need to be cleaned.
5.4 Adjust the pallet on the horizontal railing of the rack.
5.5 Stand up on the pallet and clean the horizontal & vertical railings with the cleaning solution followed by the dry duster.
5.6 After cleaning the rack, pull the forks along with the pallet and person sitting on the pallet on move it to next rack.
5.7 After cleaning all the racks bring down the pallet along with the person sitting on it.
5.8 Move the stacker to its designated place and record the activity as per Annexure-1.
5.9 Frequency: Once in a month.
