Cleaning of quality control department
1.0 Purpose
1.1 To describe a procedure for cleaning of Quality Control department.
2.0 Scope
2.1 This standard operating procedure is applicable for cleaning of Quality Control department at ABC Pvt. Ltd.,

4.0 Accountability
4.1 Manager Quality Control is accountable for implementation and compliance with SOP.
5.0 Procedure
5.1 Cleaning Tools
5.1.1 Mops, Wiper, Cloths and plastic broom.
5.2 Daily Cleaning
5.2.1 The floor of QC department shall be cleaned twice a day i.e. in the morning and once afternoon.
5.2.2 Sweep the floor with broom. Collect the dust and discard in the waste bin then moping by wet cloth.
5.2.3 Wipe the floor with wet cloth soaked in approximately 0.5% v/v disinfectants solution in water.
5.2.4 Clean the sink with detergent and plenty of tap water.
5.2.5 Clean the granite working platform top by clean wet cloth followed by dry cloth.
5.2.6 Clean the instruments and reagent bottles with dry cloth. To remove any stubborn dirt use wet cloth.
5.2.7 Clean the furniture and electrical fittings with dry cloth.
5.2.8 Remove the waste from the waste bin and send to scrap yard.
5.3 Weakly Cleaning
5.3.1 Clean the wall, ceiling and all electrical fitting with dry cloth.
5.3.2 Prepared 0.5% v/v Labolene solution by dissolving 5 ml Labolene concentrate in 1000 ml of water.
5.3.3 Clean any unwanted spots on the floor and walls by using approximately 0.5%v/v Labolene solution followed by clean dry cloth.
5.3.4 Clean the window, doors, glass, switches, platform by using wet cloth followed by dry cloth.
5.3.5 Clean the bin with process water and dry the bin by wiping with dry lint free cloth
5.3.6 Remove the waste from the waste bin and send to scrap yard.
5.4 Precautions
5.4.1 Remove the scrap from dust bin carefully and avoid to make cuts by glass piece.
5.4.2 Clean dustbin once a day to avoid unpleasant smell.
5.4.3 Do not change the place of instrument during cleaning
5.4.4 Do not clean the instrument at the time of operation.
5.4.5 At the time of cleaning ensure that instrument is switched off.
