1.0 Objective
To lay down a procedure for cleaning and operation of stacker.
2.0 Scope
This Standard Operating Procedure is applicable for cleaning and operation of stacker to be followed at formulation plants of abc company.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Officer/Executive warehouse shall be responsible for cleaning and operation of stacker.
3.2 Head Warehouse is responsible for implementation of this SOP.
3.3 Head QA or his designee shall be responsible for compliance of this SOP.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Pre Operation Checks
5.1.1 Ensure that the equipment is cleaned and ready for use.
5.1.2 Ensure that the battery is fully charged by looking on EDL display.
5.1.3 Ensure the forks are on the floor level, before the Pallet Stacker is operated.
5.1.4 Ensure the push button (Red Button) is pulled out before operation of Pallet Stacker.
5.1.5 Ensure no one is standing under the forks when the material being shifted one place to other.

Also ensure the forks are always on the floor level while moving the Pallet Stacker here and there.
5.2 Operation of Pallet Stacker
5.2.1 Switch on the Pallet stacker by inserting the key and turn it to clock wise direction.
5.2.2 To run the Pallet stacker bring the main handle to reachable position, ensure the side supports are

not resting on the floor, open the foot-rest and stand on it, push green button attached on

the handle, the Pallet Stacker shall start moving.
5.2.3 Move the stacker to the position, where the pallet has to be removed and further adjusted.
5.2.4 For lifting the material insert the forks under the pallet by pushing the left hand side lever down

and pull the pallet out.
5.2.5 For keeping the pallets on height, ensure the side support is resting on the floor.
5.2.6 To stop the Pallet stacker, push the handle either on down words or up-right straight. For emergency

breaks, push the Push Button (red button) down.
5.3 Cleaning of Pallet Stacker
5.3.1 Before starting the process clean the whole Pallet stacker with the help of wet cloth followed by dry cloth.
5.3.2 To clean the battery, firstly remove the battery cover and then clean it with dry cloth, after

cleaning placed battery cover on its place.
5.4 Operation & Maintenance of Battery Charger
5.4.1 Remove the battery top cover and Open the yellow lids of the battery before connecting it to battery charger.
5.4.2 Connect the charger to equipments battery charging connector and connect the charger plug to

the main socket and switch on the power.
5.4.3 Ensure that the LED against the power on and charging status is glowing..
5.4.4 When the battery is fully charged, the red LED will glow & it will automatically stop charging.

The battery is now ready for use.
5.4.5 In case battery is not charged 100 % in 6 hours, and 80% is charged. It indicates the battery is not charging.
5.5 Precaution
5.5.1 Ensure that the main switch is “OFF”.
5.5.2 Inform your superior and department head for any deviation occurred during operation of pallet stacker.
5.5.3 Any break down related to Pallet Stacker shall be reported on “WORK REQUEST MEMO” Form No.

and inform to engineering department.
5.5.4 Don’t move the stacker here and there when the material is on the fork & side supports are resting on the floor.
5.6 Frequency
5.6.1 Cleaning of Pallet Stacker: Daily in the morning and as & when required.
