Cleaning of Filter Washing Area
1.0 OBJECTIVE :
1.1 To lay down a procedure for cleaning of filter washing area.
2.0. SCOPE :
2.1 This procedure is applicable for cleaning of filter washing area.
3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :
3.1 Sweeper shall be responsible for cleaning of filter washing area.
3.2 Officer/Executive Engineering Department shall be responsible for Verifying cleaning of filter washing area and record it.
4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
4.1 Head Engineering Department shall be responsible for compliance of SOP
5.0. PROCEDURE :
5.1. A person carrying out cleaning of filter washing area should wear following apparel.
5.1.1 Nose mask.
5.1.2 Rubber hand gloves.
5.2. Clean the all the utility lines and connected hoses externally, using fresh water and wipe it with dry duster.
5.3. Clean the floor using 1% (w/v) savlon solution and flush it with fresh water.
5.4. Wipe out the walls and ceilings using wet duster in fresh water followed by the dry duster.
5.5. Clean the external surfaces of door and window using wet duster in fresh water followed by the dry duster.
5.6. Check all the utility lines for any leakage. Rectify it, if required.
