1.0 Objective
To lay down a procedure for De-dusting of Raw Materials and Packing Materials.

2.0 Scope
This Standard Operating Procedure is applicable for De-dusting of Raw Materials and

Packing Materials in Warehouse to be followed at formulation plants of A B C Pvt. Ltd.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Supervisor warehouse is responsible to de-dust the incoming raw material and packaging material.
3.2 Officer / Executive warehouse shall be responsible to ensure the operation for de-dusting of raw materials and

packing materials.
3.3 Warehouse Head shall be responsible for implementation of this SOP.
3.4 Head QA or his designee shall be responsible for compliance of this SOP.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 De-dusting of Raw Materials and Packing Materials.

5.1.1 Take the unloaded material into the dedusting room.

5.1.2 Operating procedure done on the vacuum cleaner as per SOP No. BBL/WH/SOP/

5.1.3 De-dust and mop the external surface of the entire containers/Bags/ Barrels/ Shippers/ Wrappers/

Bags with the help of vacuum cleaner.

5.1.4 Clean the sticky dirt with wet cloth and finally clean with dry cloth.

5.1.5 After completion of cleaning transfer the materials in respective area consignment wise / batch wise.

5.1.6 Maintain the record in “De-Dusting Log Book” as per Annexure-1.
