Cleaning of Washing Area

1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To lay down a procedure for proper cleaning of washing area.

2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This standard operating procedure is applicable in manufacturing area of production

department at abc company.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Trained worker shall be responsible for cleaning of machine.
3.2 Production Supervisor / Officer shall be responsible for implementation of the procedure as per this SOP.
3.3 Head, production shall be responsible for implementation and compliance of this procedure.

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 At the end of the day as the washing process is over washout the whole area with suitable disinfectants

solution, flush with D.M water and finally wipes out with suitable sanitizing solution.
5.2 Clean the walls with sponge at the end of shift using sanitation solution.
5.3 Clean all equipment’s and furniture in the area by moping with lint free clothe with sanitizing solution.
5.4 Wipe up spills & broken glass pieces immediately with lint free duster and nylon brush respectively.
5.5 Dump the waste in dustbin and empty out at the end of the operation.
5.6 Use liquid detergent solution for washing of floors and other exposed surface.
5.7 Sanitize clean sinks floor drains by draining 2 liters of disinfectant.
5.8 Finally apply D.M pressure to expel out all unwanted material and wipe out the overall

surface with the help of wipers.
