Programmable Logic Controller system operation security and its services

1.0 OBJECTIVE :

1.1 To lay down a procedure for carrying out Programmable Logic Controller operation, security and its services.

2.0. SCOPE :
2.1 This procedure covers the all system’s Programmable Logic Controller’s operation, security and its services

3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :

3.1 Engineering and Maintenance Department

4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
4.1 Head of Engineering Department shall be responsible for compliance of SOP.

5.0. PROCEDURE :
5.1.1 PLC installed in Major machines to control and operate the system in a defined logic basis upon the user requirement.
5.1.2 All PLC shall be minimum 3 level passwords.
5.1.3 First level password shall be for Machine operator which operate the machine to a defined parameters. He has no right to change any process parameters.
5.1.4 Second level password shall be for Area Incharge. He is authorized to change the pre approved and validated required parameters.
5.1.5 Third level password shall be for engineering person for servicing and troubleshooting purpose.
5.1.6 All system’s password shall be available to QA Head.
5.1.7 If any PLC malfunctioning, the concern operator shall be informed to Area / section incharge .He shall inform to Engineering Department for further checking.
5.1.8 If Problem does not resolved, engineering department shall contact to Manufacturer for Service Engineer.
