cleaning and preventive maintenance of LAF and RLAF
1.1 To describe a procedure for cleaning and preventive maintenance of laminar air flow and reverse laminar air flow Unit.
2.1 This procedure is applicable for cleaning and preventive maintenance of laminar air flow and reverse laminar air flow
3.1 The Maintenance operator performs the cleaning and preventive maintenance of LAF and RLAF as per this SOP.
3.2 The Maintenance Officer /Executive shall monitor the activity and record the same.
3.3 Head of Maintenance department shall ensure the compliance of this SOP.
4.1 Head Engineering
5.1 Switch ‘OFF’ the mains of LAF/RLAF before cleaning.
5.2 Clean outer surface area of LAF/RLAF unit using clean cloth.
5.3 Dismantle pre filters and fine filters and clean as per SOP of cleaning procedure of air filter SOP No.
5.4 Open the filter chamber bolts and dismantle the 5µ and 10µ filter.
5.5 Clean the filter frame and surrounding area by using clean cloth.
5.6 Clean the entire chamber using clean cloth.
5.7 Clean the blower using soft nylon brush.
5.8 Check the voltage of blower.
5.9 Check the any loose electric connection and oiling in fan motor.
5.10 Check the loose electric connection in panel board and check the contactor and relay.
5.11 Wipe the filter grill with lint free cloth wetted with 70%v/v isopropyl alcohol.
5.12 Clean pre filters and fine filter the filters and arrange them in ascending order.
5.13 Refit the filter grill.
5.14 Switch ‘ON’ the LAF/RLAF and the check the differential pressure. Differential pressure should be with in limit as per design.
5.15 Record the cleaning and preventive maintenance details of LAF/RLAF per Format No
5.16 Frequency: Weekly ± 02 days.
6.1 Trainer – Head- Engineering.
6.2 Trainee – All Concern Person.
6.3 Period – One hour or as per required.
7.1 One set of master copy & controlled copy submitted the quality assurance department.
