1.0. OBJECTIVE:
To lay down a procedure for Collection, Storage and Destruction of Raw Material retain Sample.
2.0. SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for Collection, Storage and Destruction of Raw Material Retain Sample in Quality Control Department
3.0. RESPONSIBILITY:
Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive of Quality Control to Collection and Submission of Raw Material Reference Sample.
Asst. Manager/Manager Quality Control to ensure proper Collection and Submission of Raw Material Reference Sample.
Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive of QA for proper storage and destruction of reference sample of raw material.
4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY:

5.0. PROCEDURE:
5.1. Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive Quality Control shall collect the retain sample of raw material from each consignment of raw material except the solvents and keep in self sealing poly bag for solid /amber color glass vial for liquid with proper label & seal..
5.2 Officer/Sr. Officer/Executive Quality Control shall affixed the label on retain sample containers as mention bellow
5.3 Raw materials which are retained as liquid (i.e. dispersion or suspension) shall be stored separately in respective year shipper. The shipper containing liquid samples shall be stored at lowest rack of control sample room.
5.4 The materials with 2-8°C storage conditions shall be stored in refrigerator
5.5 A list of material shall be pasted over the shipper giving the information of materials stored inside it
5.6 Retain sample quantity shall be sufficient to carry out two analysis
5.7 Retain sample detail shall be maintain as per SOP
5.8 The control sample shall be stored at temperature NMT 25° C.
5.9 Retain sample of raw material shall be destroyed after one year of expiry date. reference sample shall be destroyed as per SOP l
