1.1 To describe a procedure for the disposal of expired Chemicals, Reagents and Solvents.

2.1 This procedure is applicable for the disposal of expired Chemicals, Reagents and Solvents to the Quality control department

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 At the end of each month, prepare a list of materials which are expired in the same month.
5.2 Concerned person must use hand gloves, safety goggles, mask, and other required protective means.
5.3 Dispose of the materials in the following manner :-
D1 Liquid Chemicals Drain carefully with continuous flow of water into sink.
D2 Solid Chemicals Collect each solid chemical container. Open the container and dissolve by taking water in a plastic bucket for further disposal. Drain carefully with continuous flow of water into sink.
D3 Hazardous chemicals (As per SOP ) Collect each solid chemical container. Open the container and dissolve by taking water in a plastic bucket for further disposal. Drain carefully with continuous flow of water into sink. The activity shall be monitor the QC Officer/QC Head.
5.4 Maintain the record duly signed and verified as per Format
5.5 Update the sock Register.
