Procedure for housekeeping of general area cleaning  

 

1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To ensure that hygienic and housekeeping of general area maintained.

6.0 ENVIORMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY
6.1 Put on face mask and hand gloves while preparing the disinfectants.
6.2 Wash the plastic carboy thoroughly with water before preparing the disinfectants
6.3 As phenol is corrosive, thus handle carefully.
7.0 PROCEDURE
7.1 De-dusting with Nylon broom: procedure and schedule attached.
7.2 Dry moping: procedure and schedule attached.
7.3 Wet moping with Teepol detergent and disinfectant solution : procedure and schedule attached
7.3.1 Cleaning of Change Rooms

7.5 Method for Preparation of “Savlon”( 2.5 % v/v Solution) disinfectant solution

Preparation of Savlon Solution Storage Shelf life
Savlon 250 ml. In plastic carboy 24 Hour
Water (PW/WFI) 9.750 Ltr.

Take 250 ml of Savlon in a plastic carboy and makeup volume up to 10.0 Ltr. Water (PW/WFI) and stir well

7.6 Method for Preparation of “Dettol” (2.5 % v/v Solution) disinfectant solution:

Dettol  250 ml. In plastic carboy 24 Hour
Water (PW/WFI)  9.750 Ltr.
  • Take 250 ml of Dettol in a plastic carboy and makeup volume up to 10.0 Ltr. With Water (PW/WFI) and stir well.
    • Method for Preparation of “Actall ”(2.5 % v/v Solution) disinfectant solution
Preparation of Actall Solution Storage Shelf life
Actall  250 ml. In plastic carboy 24 Hour
Water (PW/WFI)  9.750 Ltr.
  • Take 250 ml of Dettol in a plastic carboy and makeup volume up to 10.0 Ltr. With Water (PW/WFI) and stir well.

7.8 Method for Preparation of “Teepol”(0.1 % v/v Solution) Solution

Preparation of Teepol solution Storage Shelf life
Teepol 10ml. In plastic carboy 24 Hour
Water (PW/WFI) 9.990 Ltr.

Take 10 ml of Teepol solution in a plastic carboy and makeup volume up to 10.0 Ltr. Water (PW/WFI) and stir well.
7.9 Record the Disinfectant Solution Preparation details in “Disinfectant Solution Preparation Record”, in Annexure – I Format No.
7.10 Record the Cleaning & Sanitation details in “Cleaning & Sanitation Record”, Annexure-II Format No.
7.11 Cleaning details related with entire lavatory area of a Block will be recorded daily in a single separate format. Format attached as Annexure-III Format No.
