1.0 OBJECTIVE :
1.1 To lay down the procedure for Cleaning of Air Handling Unit Ducting.
2.0. SCOPE :
2.1 This procedure is applicable for the Cleaning of Air Handling Unit Ducting situated at Pharma Dekha
3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :
3.1 Operator Engineering Department shall be responsible for Cleaning of Air Handling Unit Ducting and maintain the records accordingly.
3.2 Officer/Executive Engineering Department shall be responsible for to verify the proper cleaning and to take corrective action if any operational deviation.
4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
4.1 Head Engineering Department shall be accountable for compliance of SOP.
5.0. PROCEDURE :
5.1. Switch `Off’ the mains of AHU, remove fuses and display the `Under Maintenance’ board.
5.2. A person carrying out duct cleaning should wear following apparel.
5.2.1 Nose mask.
5.2.2 Rubber hand gloves
5.3. Open the inspection door of AHU body.
5.4. Clean the AHU body using wet mop.
5.5. Clean the duct using wet mop.
5.6. Check the duct visually and confirm that it is properly cleaned.
5.7. Fix back the fuses and switch `On’ the mains.
5.8. Switch `On’ the AHU.
5.9. Check all duct joints and inspection door for any leakage. Rectify it, if required.
5.10. Now the AHU is ready for normal operation.
5.11. Duct cleaning of AHU’s shall be done quarterly.
5.12. Maintain the record of AHU duct cleaning as per Annex-I.
