Purpose
1.1 To lay down a procedure for Operation and Cleaning of Tablet Inspection Belt.
2.0 Scope
2.1 This SOP is applicable for Operation and Cleaning of Tablet Inspection Belt in ABC Pvt. Ltd.
3.0 Responsibility
3.1 Machine Operator To execute the procedure.
Production & QA officer Follow the procedure as per SOP
Head Production Training and Implementation of SOP

4.0 Accountability
4.1 Production Head is accountable for compliance of this SOP.
5.0 Procedure
5.1 Operation
5.1.1 Ensure that tablet inspection machine is clean.
5.1.2 Take the Line Clearance from IPQA prior to operation.
5.1.3 Update the “Status label” of the Area.
5.1.4 Load the tablets manually with SS Bowl into the hopper.
5.1.5 Switch “ON” the electrical mains for vibrator switch and electrical tube light.
5.1.6 As the tablets passes along with the belt due to vibrator, start the inspection at both sides.
5.1.7 Collect the tablets in HDPE container with double lined poly bag.
5.1.8 After the completion of inspection switch “OFF” the electrical mains, vibrator and electrical tube light.
5.1.9 Record the activity in the Equipment Log book.

5.2 Cleaning
5.2.1 Type A (For Product Change Over)
5.2.1.1 Update the status label as “UNDER CLEANING”.
5.2.1.2 Ensure that main supply is switched ‘OFF’.
5.2.1.3 De dust the machine body with the help of lint free cloth.
5.2.1.4 Dismantle the hopper, vibratory plate and remove the rejection collection box.
5.2.1.5 Transfer the above parts to the washing area in a clean poly bag with “TO BE CLEANED” label.
5.2.1.6 Clean the dismantle parts by using Raw water and then wash with purified Water.
5.2.1.7 Assemble the cleaned dismantled parts visually ensures that the above parts

are free from any material.
5.2.1.8 Clean the conveyor belts using lint free dry cloth followed by wet lint free cloth

dipped in purified water and finally mop with lint free dry cloth.
5.2.1.9 Clean the outer body, conveyer guard and tube light frame with dry lint free cloth

followed by moist lint free cloth dipped in Purified water.
5.2.1.10 Clean the control panel and the electrical connections with a dry lint free cloth.
5.2.1.11 Assemble the hopper, vibratory plate, conveyor belt and rejection collection box.
5.2.1.12 Record the activity in the Equipment Log book.
5.2.2 Type B (Batch to batch Change Over)
5.2.2.1 Update the status board as “UNDER CLEANING”.
5.2.2.2 Ensure that the machine is switched ‘OFF”.
5.2.2.3 Clean the hopper, vibratory plate and rejection collection box with dry lint free cloth.
5.2.2.4 Clean the conveyor with dry lint free cloth.
5.3 Drying
5.3.1.1 Dry the equipment using dry lint free cloth.
5.3.1.2 Ensure that all part of the equipment dry properly.
5.4 Training to be provided to the concerned persons.
