1.0 Objective
To keep control and check on the use of Sophisticated Laboratory equipment and also to know the
details of the test performed on the Instrument.
2.0 Scope
Standard Operating Procedure is to provide procedures for Specifications and test method to
be followed for raw materials, in process and finish products at abc Pvt. Ltd.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Frequency of maintaining the equipment log book will be as and when a particular instrument is used and operated.
5.2 Following procedure is to be adopted for HPLC, Dissolution Apparatus, UV- Spectrophotometer,
pH Meter, Conductivity Meter, Polarimeter, Viscometer, Refractometer, DT Apparatus, Friability and to
all the equipments used in the Lab.
5.3 Before using Laboratory equipments the Officer concerned should heck and confirm that the
equipment is calibrated as per the SOP meant for that particular equipment.
5.4 Enter the sample details, method details, date and the Officers Signature as
specified in the individual equipment log book.
