Cleaning and operation of visual inspection conveyor belt
1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To describe the procedure for cleaning and operation of visual inspection conveyor belt.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This procedure is applicable to visual inspection conveyor belt present in the production.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Operator – To perform the procedure.
3.2 Executive production- To ensure that the operation is being performed in compliance with the
SOP and BMR.
3.3 IPQA person – To ensure line clearance, in-process checks, and to counter check that the
Compliance is in line with SOP and BMR.

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 Cleaning: Follow Cleaning Type A & Type B procedure as per respective sop no
5.1.1 Ensure all the material is removed from the visual inspection conveyor belt.
5.1.2 Remove the equipment status label as per sop and affix ‘To be cleaned’ status label as per sop over the equipment.
5.1.3 Switch off the equipment, Switch off the main power supply.
5.1.4 Remove all left over of previous materials with help of nylon brush, lint free cloth & scrubber.
5.1.5 Clean the Outer surface/ Inner surface area by dry moping followed by wet moping of the equipment using lint free cloth & 70% v/v solution of IPA.
5.1.6 Using nylon brush/scrapper removes the product traces from the outer surface and bottom of the equipment.
5.1.7 Allow them to dry & cover all the dismantled parts using poly bag/stretch wrap and affix ‘Cleaned’ status label as per sop
5.2 PRE START UP
5.2.1Check and ensure the equipment is cleaned and affixed with CLEANED status label.
Get line clearance from IPQA, before starting the operation.
5.2.2Check and ensure temperature and relative humidity of the room are within the limits.
5.2.3Remove the CLEANED status label as per sop and affix equipment

5.3 STARTUP
5.3.1Switch ON the main power supply.
5.3.2Connect the electrical supply.
5.4 OPERATION
5.4.1 Push green button to start the operation.
5.4.2 Check the chipping, capping, sticking, foreign particles, breakage’s, rough surface and
Sported tablets etc collected the drum.
5.4.3 Collect the recovery of the tablets during tablets inspection operation, weigh and label it as
Recovery, record it in the BMR and keep it in recovery room.
5.4.4 After Inspection collect the good inspected tablets in container lined with Polythene bags
And keep with proper labeling.
5.4.5 Push red button to stop the operation.

SHUTDOWN
5.4.1 Switch OFF the machine
5.4.2 Isolate the electrical power supply
6.0 TRAINING
6.1 Trainer: Production Head.
6.2 Trainee: Production, Quality Assurance and Operator person.
6.3 Period: One Hour or as per required.
7.0 DISTRIBUTION
7.1 One set of Master copy and one set of Controlled copy submit the QA department.
