1.0 OBJECTIVE :

1.1 To lay down a procedure for rectification of audio visual alarms of various systems..

2.0. SCOPE :
2.1 This procedure is applicable to Stability chamber, BOD Incubator, N2, O2 and Granulation/Coating AHU’S situated at Pharma Dekho.

3.0. RESPONSIBILITY :

3.1 Engineering and Maintenance Department.

4.0. ACCOUNTABILITY :
4.1 Head of Engineering Department shall be responsible for compliance of SOP.

5.0. PROCEDURE :

5.1 Audio visual Alarming system for Stability chambers and BOD Incubators



5.1.1 This Audio Visual Alarming system installed for stability chamber BOD Incubator and Hooters at utility Alarm panel board.

5.1.2 Description of audio visual alarms

5.1.3 This Audio Visual Alarming system functions when out of limit values observed for temperature/RH (as per 5.1.2) in stability chamber/BOD Incubators.
5.1.4 Add out of limit of Temp./RH in Stability chamber/BOD Incubator, the alarm system gives audio/visual alarms on Panel.
5.1.5 Immediate Operator checks, the signal of Particular stability/BOD Incubator in panel.
5.1.6 Operator acknowledge the alarms of particular system and immediately attend the system.
5.1.7 The Operator shall verify the failures of Stability chamber/BOD Incubator as per below mention check points.
( i) Failure of power supply.
(ii) Failure of Cooling compressor/Fan.
(iii) Failure of heater.
(iv) Failure of steam bath in stability chamber.
(v) Controller for Temp. and RH.
5.1.8 After rectification of failure cause, observe particular system for one hour for proper functioning.
5.1.9 Re-set the alarm switch in alarm panel board after rectification and



fill up annex-I.
5.1.10 Inform to concern dept Head for rectification.
5.2 Audio visual Alarming system for N2 and O2 cylinders
5.2.1 The Audio Visual Alarming system installed for N2 and O2 supply station and Hooter at utility alarm panel board.
5.2.2 When N2 and O2 pressure goes below to 3.5 kg/cm², than the alarm shall be generated .
5.2.3 Replaced empty cylinder with filled cylinder.
5.3 Audio visual Alarming system for Temp. of Coating and Granulation AHU’S
5.3.1 The Audio Visual Alarming system installed for hot water storage tank for Coating and Granulation AHU’S at utility.
5.3.2 Audio visual alarming panel installed at utility alarm panel board.
5.3.3 When the temp. of hot water goes below to 60ºC then alarm shall be generated.
5.3.4 Check the heater of hot water, verify it and record.
5.3.5 If temperature not achieved within 10 minutes operator shall inform the engg. And concern dept. head.
