To lay down guidelines of procedure for Cleaning & Sanitization of Drain points of all plant.

This procedure is applicable to Cleaning & Sanitization of Drain points of all plant at abc company.

5.0 Procedure
5.1 Cleaning of Drain Point :
5.1.1 Clean The Drain Point with Raw Water.
5.1.2 Remove the accumulated dust on the drain point with help of clothes.
5.1.3 After final cleaning with Purified Water.
5.1.4 Remove all the accumulated debris and hose down the inner surfaces with plenty of water.
5.1.5 Clear the blockage, if any, in the holes of P-traps connected with the drain using wire or
other appropriate means
5.2 Sanitization of Drain Point:
5.2.1 Prepare the disinfectant solution.
5.2.2 Take approx 500 ml duly prepared disinfectant solution.
5.2.3 Pour the measure disinfectant solution in each drain point at the end of each operation shift
and leave over night next morning clean the drain properly and records the activity.
5.2.4 Disinfectant should be changed weekly to prevent the microbial resistance.
5.2.5 Drain point to be sanitized with 5.0% Savlon and Dettol or other effective solution once a week.
5.3 Precautions:
5.3.1 Do not touch any material without Hand gloves.
5.3.2 Prepared solution used very carefully.
