1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To describe a procedure for Preventive maintenance of Bottle Washing Machine installed
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This Standard operating procedure for Preventive maintenance of Bottle Washing Machine
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
3.1 Operator/Technical Assistant – To follow the Procedure.
3.2 Maintenance Head shall accountable for compliance of this SOP.

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 Pre Start Up
5.1.1 Isolate the main incoming power supply to the equipment, if not required.
5.1.2 Label the Equipment with “UNDER MAINTENANCE” tag at a prominent location or at the control switch ensuring adequate visibility.
5.2 Check list of Bottle Washing Machine
5.2.1 Check the valve for proper working.
5.2.2 Check the float valve for proper working.
5.2.3 Check / Clean the cartridge filter.
5.2.4 Check the mechanical seal of Pre, Post and Final washing pump.
5.2.5 Check the leakage of loop line.
5.2.6 Check the TC Clamp and gasket.
5.2.7 Check / Clean / Tighten nozzles.
5.3 Procedure (Contd.)
5.3.1 Check the Main motor, Infeed and discharge conveyor motor for smooth operation.
5.3.2 Check the ampere of Main motor, Infeed and discharge conveyor motor.
5.3.3 Check / Lubricate the chain and sprocket.
5.3.4 Check the gear box of Main motor and Infeed motor for proper working.
5.3.5 Check / Top up the gear box of Main motor and Infeed motor for proper working.
5.3.6 Check the proper working of infeed conveyor, roller and bearing.
5.3.7 Check the electromagnetic clutch for proper working.
5.3.8 Check the condition of flat belt.
5.3.9 Check / Lubricate all pedestal bearing.
5.3.10 Check / Replace the pocket.
5.3.11 Check the pocket conveyor.
5.3.12 Check the ampere of Pre, Post and Final washing pump
5.3.13 Check the switch for proper working.
5.3.14 Check the indicator light for proper working.
5.4 Review
5.4.1 Ensure for proper availability and fitment of required Safety Guards of Equipment.
5.4.2 Ensure that the Equipment is cleared from Tools, Hardware, and Cleaners used during Preventive Maintenance.
5.4.3 Ensure that the Area/Equipment is cleared of excessive Cleaners
6.0 TRAINING
6.1 Trainer – Head- Engineering.

6.2 Trainee – All Concern Person.
6.3 Period – One hour or as per required.
7.0 DISTRIBUION
7.1 One set of master copy & controlled copy submitted the quality assurance department.
8.0 ENCLOSURE
